Champo Carpets Debuting New Showroom for Spring High Point Market
HIGH POINT, N.C. – (March 26, 2019) – New and returning tenants are debuting innovative resources in Showplace for Spring 2019 High Point Market, running April 6 – April 10, 2019. Showplace features more than 80 exhibitors showcasing a variety of design aesthetics and a mix of price points.
“Showplace features more than 600,000 square feet of permanent showroom resources with a broad selection of product that includes rugs, wall art, decorative accessories, upholstery, leather, casegoods and juvenile products,” said Scott Eckman, executive vice president, president of furniture and home décor leasing for International Market Centers. “Showplace is a key destination for many Top 100 retailers, designers and buyers, as well as attendees looking for the latest and greatest on-trend item.”
For Spring Market, Champo Carpets (floor coverings) will be making its Showplace debut and Capris Furniture (high-quality furniture) will be expanding.
Champo Carpets is a manufacturer and exporter of floor coverings, specializing in hand-tufted, hand-woven and hand-knotted rugs. Champo Carpets’ line also includes Indo-Tibetan weave, hand-stitched, flat-woven, shaggy and indoor/outdoor carpets.
“High Point Market is another avenue to increase our client base and retain our existing ones, and we feel Showplace is a great place to source our area rugs,” said Mehul Mehrotra, director for Champo Carpets. “We are looking forward to working with more designers who can expand our design base as well as box retailers looking to source more fashion-forward products.”
Capris Furniture is a high-quality furniture manufacturer and distributor. The company’s lines include living, dining, bedroom, accent, fabrics and outdoor furniture. This spring, Capris Furniture will debut multiple new bedroom sets, dining tables and chairs, occasional pieces and sofa frames, as well as 27 new fabric groupings.

For Spring Market, Jaipur Living will be introducing 33 hand-knotted and hand-tufted rugs in eight new and four existing hand-made collections.

Beyond exhibits, Showplace will offer marketgoers a variety of educational and networking opportunities, including social events and showroom offerings. Between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. from April 6 to April 10, there will be complimentary coffee and sweets in the Showplace Atrium; and between 5 and 7 p.m. from April 6 to April 9, Showplace will host Sunset on 3 with complimentary beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres served on the third floor balcony.
