C&D Building to Showcase Hundreds of New Product Lines, Numerous Social Events at High Point Fall Market
Arteriors Relocating from IHFC Building to First Floor of Commerce & Design Building
HIGH POINT, N.C. – (October 05, 2018) – More than 20 showrooms will be debuting hundreds of home furnishings and accessories product lines in the Commerce & Design (C&D) building at High Point Fall Market, running Oct. 13 – Oct. 17, 2018.
“The C&D building meets the needs of every type of buyer and designer,” said Julie Messner, senior vice president of furniture and home décor leasing for International Market Centers. “With innovative products ranging from commercial to organic and sustainable, the C&D building is a key destination for every Market-goer.”
New this Market, luxury lighting, furniture and décor brand Arteriors (C&D, 1A, B, G) is opening a new showroom on the ground floor of the C&D Building. The new location has a footprint that’s twice the size of Arteriors’ former showroom in the IHFC building. Prior to this move, Arteriors has shown at the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) since Mark Moussa founded the company in 1987, more than 30 years ago.
“We believe that our customers will appreciate a more streamlined and open experience,” Moussa said. “In the last two years, we’ve invested in more ways to show the versatility of our product assortment, including expanding our visual merchandising team to create new moments of inspiration for our products to shine through. Our new High Point showroom will embody that same initiative at a much greater scale, and we are excited to find a new home in the C&D building to showcase this new era of the brand.”
At Market, Arteriors will present the Playa Posh collection by designer Windsor Smith. The collection will feature lighting, seating, tabletop and accessories in shades of tan, white-gray blue, rosy copper, and shimmering golds.
Visual Comfort, a manufacturer of designer lighting, will be showcasing hundreds of new designs at October Market. The Visual Comfort line includes lighting fixtures, portable lighting, hospitality and contract design, outdoor living, kitchen and bath lighting, and private label design.
“Visual Comfort & Co. will be introducing over 200 new designs at High Point Fall Market in the C&D building, suites 2G and 2J,” said Andy Singer, chief executive officer of Visual Comfort. “In addition to this extensive designer lighting offering, our sister company, Generation Lighting, will be debuting a new collection of lighting inspired by the iconic style, values and personality of Ellen DeGeneres. The ED Collection will be on display in suite 1F. We look forward to welcoming everyone attending Market this fall.”
Sarreid (C&D, 3D), a source for exceptional home accessories and bench made occasional furniture, will showcase numerus introductions at Fall Market, including its Wall Cabinet; Four-Door Storage Cabinet; Two-Door, Three-Drawer Cabinet; Tall Cabinet and Fairmont Cabinet. The Sarreid line includes bench-made solid hardwood furniture, antiques, European and American reproductions, and an eclectic collection of decorative home furnishings and accents.
"The tones of wood in furniture has peaked with the broad popularity of all shades of gray, plus blacks and whites,” said Alex Sarratt, owner at Sarreid. “We feel earth tones will make a comeback now and will include colors like walnut, fruitwood and oak. We also believe they will not be as dark as they were before 2000 and will be more warm and mottled colors, not just solid stains."
Additional C&D exhibitors for Spring market include: Alder & Tweed Furniture (C&D, 1C, D); Alliyah Home (C&D, 5E); Dorel Home (C&D, 8N, 9A); Bethel International (C&D, 4C, D, Q); Brentwood Classics (C&D, 8I, K); Butler Specialty (C&D, 5I); Crawford & Burke (C&D, 7G-L); Jersey Mike’s (Café); My Home Furnishings (C&D, 5J, K); NCA Designs (C&D, 6A-N); Padma’s Plantation (C&D, 5L); South Shore Furniture (C&D, 7N); Trowbridge (C&D, 2A); Urban Chic (C&D, 4N); and Urbia (C&D, 5A, B).
