Bauer/Clifton Interiors Made In America Tour
Written by Bauer/Clifton Interiors - Jeremy Bauer & Jason Clifton:
After several weeks of traveling and trekking throughout the country for High Point Market, us Alaska natives continue to learn more when it comes to sourcing from American Made furnishing companies. We wanted to show-off expertly crafted product in showrooms that thrive on the concept of being Made in The USA. If you missed us during High Point, follow along for highlights from our Made In America Tour at HPMKT!
Our first stop on the tour, Urban Barnwood, is an Ohio-based company that reclaims and repurposes barnwood into functional furniture that masterfully blends rustic and modern styles. We were shown some of high-end designer Chase Ryan’s recent work, including a large custom dining set.
We then moved down the hall to pay a visit to Omnia Leather, a furniture manufacturer headquartered out of California that has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years. Omnia specializes in balancing comfort, quality, and style within their two collection categories: stationary and motion. We especially appreciated their eco-friendly solutions in manufacturing durable leather chairs, sofas, sleepers, and more.
Our next stop across the way, Saloom, impressed us with their extensive dining set and occasional pieces proudly manufactured in the USA in every style - from traditional to contemporary. This husband and wife operation is based out of Massachusetts, and has been in business for over 35 years. We were blown away by the blend of rustic and contemporary pieces, specifically this dining table equipped with a steel frame.
We ended our tour at Fairmont Designs, another California-based furnishing powerhouse that is committed to creating functional and comfortable pieces using American resources. Using a special blend of cushioning material, Fairmont can produce functional seating for smaller spaces without compromising comfort or style.
Witnessing these exhibitors display their quality craftsmanship and patriotic pride had us feeling even more inspired to use American-made resources in some projects that are in the works! Thank you to the wonderful group that joined us, and we’ll be seeing you again in April, High Point Market!
